WE MAKE SENSE
(How the HUMSS people provides us all)
It all started with the article “HUMSS ka lang” published in Inquirer.net
and it is about a STEM teacher dissing HUMSS students because for him, there’s
no hardships in such field and it makes no sense to be in that. However, he is
completely WRONG. We, the Humanities and Social Science (HUMSS) people has
something to contribute in this world. WE MAKE SENSE and here’s the Top 9
reasons why:

Yes, we don’t experience the hardship of studying
mechanical engineering, however, we do understand how hard it is to make shows
just for that Television to have some use.

The understanding that we came from the apes is an
important thing to know, however, it doesn’t stop there. Like Jane Goodall, we
study about not only the culture of humans but also of animals like
chimpanzees!

Globalization is taking place, we know. But
without our very patient linguistic group, we won’t even get to understand each

Through us, we get to discover and appreciate
great sites like the Pyramids in Egypt and the clear blue waters of Boracay

mean that we are greatly concerned about YOU too. We give you help in whatever
aspect may it be, physically or mentally.

Humanities and Social Sciences does not only bring us knowledge
but it also brings us values. Learning Science, Business, and the Arts are as
equally as important as learning in the field of Humanities and Social
Sciences. HUMSS helps us to understand the society better together with the
other departments. Just like the Theory of Structural Functionalism, everything
is FUNCTIONAL. Every aspect of the society helps in making the world keep its
balance.
